The 2020 Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga season will resume on 25 June. All 10 participating teams will be tested for COVID-19 during next week. The training process will restart in accordance with the guidelines from the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. Prior to the resumption of the league campaign, the players will be tested for the second time.
Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga will resume with a changed format, with teams facing each other twice instead of 4 times. With two rounds of fixtures already played in March, teams will therefore play out another 16 rounds. Matches will initially take place without spectators. Participating teams will be provided with full information regarding the resumption of the season.
Matches will take place in accordance with the guidelines from the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved in the playing and organisational processes. Initially, the 2020 season will resume only for the teams of Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga. Decisions regarding the resumption of other Georgian domestic leagues and the Georgian Cup will be taken and announced at a later stage.
